Blackberry by Capella

Description

Capella’s Blackberry Food Flavouring captures the lush, juicy character of ripe blackberries. This versatile food flavour concentrate brings a rich berry profile to recipes where a sweet, fruity flavour is desired.

Blackberry works especially well across beverages, baking, desserts and confectionery. Use it in flavoured water, fruit drinks, lemonades, smoothies and other refreshing beverages. It can also add a rich blackberry character to cakes, cupcakes, muffins, cookies, frostings, icings, dessert fillings, puddings and frozen desserts.

Blackberry pairs naturally with a wide range of fruit and dessert flavours. Raspberry, strawberry and blueberry can create fuller berry combinations, while cherry and grape can add deeper fruit notes. Lemon and lime provide a bright citrus contrast, while peach and pear can create softer fruit combinations. Vanilla, cream and cheesecake flavours can bring the blackberry profile into richer dessert territory, while chocolate can create an indulgent combination.

Blackberry can be used as the main flavour in a recipe or combined with other food flavour concentrates to build more layered fruit, dessert and beverage profiles. Its rich berry character makes it particularly useful for smoothies, fruit drinks, muffins, cakes, pies, cheesecakes, ice cream, sauces, frostings and confectionery inspired by ripe blackberries.

Start with a small amount and gradually adjust according to the recipe and desired flavour intensity. The amount needed will vary depending on the other ingredients and the overall flavour balance you want to achieve.
